Twenty years ago, our Founder, Salva Dut, had an idea: drill a well for his father’s village. With help from a small but mighty group of dedicated volunteers, WFSS was born. Since then, supporters like you have joined the global movement to grow WFSS beyond imagination, from drilling and rehabbing hand-pumped wells to constructing solar-powered water storage towers to serving as refugee camp water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) responders with partners Norwegian Church Aid and the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR).

Thank you for uniting with us to support the needs of the citizens of South Sudan. Even with all that’s been accomplished, South Sudan still struggles in many ways, such as taking in refugees from the crisis in Sudan—many of whom are South Sudanese. Today, communities in South Sudan need your help to ensure they have access to the most fundamental human rights: clean water and safety.
