Objectives and Expected Results


Objectives

  1. Prepare local workforce to monitor and manage water supply and sewage.

    1. Training monitors and managers is vital to developing the capacity of local leaders to meet their community’s needs.

  2. Empower local communities to manage their water resources for the long-term sustainability of water points to contribute to community peacebuilding and resilience in the face of climate change.

Expected results

  1. Train 16 individuals from four South Sudanese states to improve water monitoring techniques and practices across the country.

  2. Create a current, open-source modular curriculum for drinking water quality monitoring at the Water Institute for use in countries across the globe struggling with these similar issues.

  3. Assess module and training effectiveness and plan for adaptation, improvement, and the continued roll-out of courses.

  4. Publicize course materials to be replicated in other places globally via the W12+ Blueprint.
